1. Quilt vs Quilt Cover

Patchwork quilts are made up of three layers..the top labour intensive patchwork layer, the middle batting layer and then the backing.  Then it needs to be pinned together so that the three layers can be sewn together.

What makes a quilt special is the extra time that goes into them.  If they don't have the internal layer of batting then it would be a blanket..  A quilt is also sometimes referred to as a comforter or bedspread..it is thin and a perfect weight for summer or as an extra layer in winter.

Our patch quilts are made from cotton with a dash of natural linen.

Our Minimalist quilts are made entirely from stonewashed flax linen.

Quilt/doona covers or duvet covers  which require an insert to be placed inside of them.  They are normally more puffy and thicker depending on the quilt insert you use.

We offer many sizes in pure flax linen quilt covers on a custom order basis. We order monthly and they are made by our linen supplier for us. Wait times can be up to 5 weeks but this allows us to offer you such an array of colour and sizes that as a tiny business we wouldn't otherwise be able to offer you.

2. Teether Facts.

We stock silicon and beech teethers by local maker Hello Little Bead and have included further safety information below.

The Basic Teethers are made from non-toxic, food grade silicone beads that are BPA, Lead, Phthalates, Latex, and PVC free.

The RAW rattle/teether is made from Beech wood. It is a hard non splintering wood that is naturally antibacterial, totally chemical free, durable and shock resistant. All of our Beech wood is unique and may have a different grain from what you see in the photos.

All our products have been independently tested and certified to meet AS/NZS 8124 Australian and New Zealand Safety Standards.

To wash, wipe with a damp cloth. Please ensure you ready or safety instructions carefully. Always supervise your children with our products and discard at the first sign of damage. If your beech ring does need retreating this is easily done with any food grade oil (we prefer coconut!)

Do not submerge in water. Always supervise your children with our products and discard at the first sign of damage.

3. Cushion Inserts

We proudly use and recommend Innergreen cushion inserts and pillows.

They are made in Australia from recycled PET fiber is derived from 100% post consumer water bottles. The fiber looks, feels and performs in the same way as a high-grade poly fiber, but is completely recycled. For every 1kg of fiber used, around 70 water bottles are saved from ending up in landfill. The Recycled PET fiber is also 100% non-allergenic.

You can find inserts to fit our cushions on their site https://www.innergreen.com.au/eco/
